If you’re searching for a weekend where you can camp (or glamp) with all of your wedding guests, we’ve found it. Meet Linga Longa Estate, a beautiful WA wedding venue sitting on 700 acres of lush greenery, tucked away in the Blackwood River Valley, surrounded by natural bush and pine forests.

Take a scroll through their beautiful photos and learn more about this property from the Eaton family themselves!

Hey Linga Longa, can you tell us a bit about your wedding venue?

We’re a beautiful WA property that features 700 acres of land, in a very remote valley along the Blackwood River in the Southwest. We actually operate as a mountain bike park as well as doing events and of course weddings! A beautiful big lake is surrounded by rolling hills with bush and pine tree forests. It’s a really stunning background for any wedding.

What inspired you to get involved with weddings?

In September 2017 our youngest son got married on the property. It was a weekend camping wedding with 120 people staying at Linga Longa. The weekend was such a success, we had a bridal shower and bucks party and scheduled events over the course of the weekend and all of our guests had a memorable time connecting and relaxing in the great outdoors. We either made or bought everything we needed for the wedding including the huge marquee.

What kind of facilities does your venue offer?

Linga Longa has a fully equipped commercial kitchen and an alfresco dining area overlooking the lake. Plus, one of our main attractions is camping, so sprawling lawns make for a great place to lay down some tents. We also have a 30×10 marquee on a cement pad that guests can use too. In terms of ceremony locations, we have a bunch of options from lakeside to old shed to forest cathedral!

What do you think is the selling point for most couples?

Definitely the flexibility and creativity with no sound restrictions and the ability to have everything in the one location.

Do you offer onsite accommodation? Alternatively, are there places to stay nearby?

The good news is we can cater for up to 200 people camping! We also have 2 beautiful cottages available onsite. Alternatively, we offer a bus shuttle service to get guests back to their local accommodation.

What’s your favourite thing you’ve seen a couple do at your venue?

One of the couples who had a weekend camping wedding here made a big floating blow-up device with their initials followed by LOVE. It was lit up at night with changing colours and floated all around our lake over the weekend. It just really gave a personal touch.

And what do you think would be epic at your property? Any ideas you’d love to see a couple carry out?

Trash the dress by jumping into the lake! Coloured smoke bombs, the bride arriving on a horse, boat or even a helicopter!

Can you describe the kind of couples your venue attracts?

Very outdoorsy, relaxed couples who love camping and adventure and being able to surround themselves with family and friends.

Any new venue developments or plans on the horizon?

We plan on building more cottages and possibly a permanent reception centre.

Finally, what tip or advice can you share with anyone planning a wedding right now?

Our advice would be to be open to the idea of having a weekend camping wedding. Loved ones can enjoy time together and why have the celebrations last only one day when you could have 3!
