Things to make you go ‘I do’.

Should I book a wedding band?

wedding band sydney

Look, this is a pretty personal one. Our short answer is hell yes – having a bunch of professional musicians that are completely dedicated to making sure your wedding is a fun, joyful celebration with a heaving dancefloor is always a great investment. It’s one that we made for our own big days and wholeheartedly feel made a huge impact on creating the party vibes that we’d hoped for.

But we get you might have questions about making the commitment to book a band or entertainer. So we chatted to Josie who co-runs Event Entertainers (and who is also a lead singer for the amazing wedding ensemble DUKE). This chick knows the wedding entertainment industry inside-out and has kindly agreed to answer any q’s you might have when it comes to wedding musicians, duos, bands – you name it.

Feel welcome to drop any of your queries in the comments section below and we’ll do a follow-up to this piece with Josie’s honest advice.

In the meantime, we asked her some questions we ourselves had – and filmed it. Check out our quick chat below.

  1. Yes! I would highly recommend hiring a wedding band too! Our band was an absolute legend. They knew exactly how to build up the crowd and played an amazing mix of music for all ages. They had such great energy and was dancing along with everyone which made a huge difference in the vibes of the night. It was a great experience.
