G’day Ant and Katie! In a nutshell, how would you guys describe your big day?

Our wedding day was our favourite celebration of our love for each other.

How fab. What did you expect would it be the best part? And what did it end up being?

I expected our reception would be my favourite part in the lead-up and it ended up being our walk together to our ceremony point.

Did you write your own vows? If so, what made you decide to do that?

We did! We wanted our ceremony to tell our story and a very special part of that was our personal commitment to each other.

What was it about Three Blue Ducks that made you choose it?

Our Ceremony was held at Nielsen Park, Vaucluse. It was one of the places we fell in love. Our reception was held at the Three Blue Ducks in Rosebery. Wholesome food made us sign the dotted line.

Now that you’re married, what’s your best piece of wedding planning advice you can share?

The most important people on the day are you and your partner. Enjoy those moments together because they are unforgettable.

If you had your time again, is there anything you’d do differently?

I would not recommend shopping for the Grooms shirt the night before the wedding.

That’s a great point you’ve got there. Finish these sentences: My partner is…

My favourite person!

The best thing we did at our wedding was…

Arrive together. It was a special moment for us both to see our loving friends and family and to experience that together was something special.

We splurged on…

Good food and wine!

We saved on…

All the extras you don’t really need! Ant made a seating arrangement display and was also the DJ!
