REAL WEDDING: Jess + Adam – Mali Brae Farm
Jess and Adam’s simple yet stylish wedding took place at Mali Brae Farm – an idyllic 90 acre cattle property located just an hour outside Sydney. Surrounded by their closest family and friends they tied the knot at one of the most enchanting ceremony spots we’ve seen. And as for the rest? Well, let’s just say it’s certainly worth checking out.

It’s no surprise that Jess and Adam fell in love with Mali Brae Farm the second they saw it. Just an hour outside Sydney and boasting 90 acres of lush, rolling green hills it was the perfect place for their intimate and relaxed style wedding.

There’s a lot to love about this wedding beside just the venue though – wait until you see the bouquets, ceremony set-up and Jess’s dress.

Here, Jess tells us a bit about their memorable day…

Tell us about how you met and the proposal?

We met on a trip to Bali (we’re both in the aviation industry). We had a massive night out and that was pretty much it. We’ve been together ever since.

On our one year anniversary, Adam had organised a sea plane to take us to Palm Beach. On the beach he gave me a book that was made up of photos from our year together – our holidays, house, puppy etc. and at the end was ‘Will you marry me?’. He’d also organised our families and friends to meet us at Opera Bar which I had no idea about either. A day I will definitely never forget!

What do you do for work?

I’m a flight attendant and Adam is a pilot.

What DIY projects did you accomplish for the wedding?

Decorations, petal holders for the ceremony, cake decorations, seating charts.

What sort of wedding vibe were you aiming for?

We wanted something casual, classic and intimate with our closest family and friends.

What advice would you give to other couples leading up to their big day?

Make sure your wedding day focuses on what the two of you want. Take time out at the wedding to just spend some time together as a couple. Wedding guests will make an effort to come to you so don’t let that monopolise your night… enjoy it your way!

What does marriage mean to you?

Commitment and a life long best friend, lover and companion. It’s finding that someone that you can have all the fun in the world with but who you know will be there by your side when things aren’t so fun.

Ceremony song?

Marry Me – Train.

First dance song?

Crazy Love – Van Morrison.
