No neighbours, no curfew, no sound restrictions, camping on site and a very reasonable price tag – for Belinda and Dan, Queensland wedding venue The Farm House  was the perfect spot for their relaxed, DIY celebration.

Captured by Juddric Photography, you can check out the entire shebang below (including some awesome fire twirling).

What sort of vibe were you hoping to create for the day?

We just wanted to have a wedding that really reflected who we are, was chilled and most importantly, fun!

What advice would you give to other couples leading up to their big day?

Definitely don’t panic, it doesn’t get you anywhere. When people offer help, they mean it, so take them all up on their offer and find something for everyone to do.

A day coordinator that isn’t a guest is something that would be a good idea, especially if it’s a DIY wedding like ours was. I had a very hectic day leading up to the ceremony, but it kept me off the beers until later, lol.

What does marriage mean to you?

Hanging out with my number one favourite person, for reals.

What was your favourite moment on your wedding day?

Our ceremony! Our celebrant, Paul, did such an amazing job of making us feel comfortable. It went super smoothly from start to finish. Our first dance was super fun as well.

How did you find your venue and was the process difficult for you?

We knew we wanted tipis and had a basic idea in our head so we got in touch with Hannah at Gold Coast Tipis and I told her what we were looking for. She recommended a few places and we checked them out but she pretty much straight away had the perfect place. No neighbours, no curfew, no sound restrictions, camping on site and the price was VERY reasonable.

Ceremony song?

Down the aisle  Ratatat: ‘Wildcat’.

Leaving the ceremony Supergrass: ‘Alright’

First dance song? LCD Soundsystem: ‘Daft Punk is playing at my house’.
