About This Venue

Forget Me Not is the ultimate country destination situated in the Byron Bay hinterland, 10 minutes from Byron Bay and 5 minutes to boutique Bangalow.

On a scenic hundred acre working cattle farm, it is very private and tranquil. Overlooking a large lake with water lilies and a little row boat beside an old wooden jetty. Often get the comment saying it looks like a scene from the Notebook. Surrounded by prizewinning gardens and rainforest plantings, it is truly a special place. Its beautiful by day, the gorgeous sunsets in the backdrop and the lighting at night reflects into the water.

Offering elopements, small weddings and up to 150 guests.

You can have your whole wedding here! With choices of ceremony spots of maybe overlooking the water beside the boat and jetty or under the shade of the trees or perhaps in front of the private outdoor chapel. Followed by your reception, the area is a blank canvas and the choices of different styles and setups are endless. Your photos will be amazing and there are so many spots and choices on-site. Its a photographers dream.

The smaller weddings of up to 36 people, you can enjoy outdoor dining under the stars or there is the undercover deck beside the pool.

Amongst the lawns is a large level gravelled area to set your tipi’s or marquee up. The site can comfortably accommodate 150 guests. A toilet block with rustic exterior and 5 star interior is provided. The farm with cattle, horses and the post and rail fence in the background frames the tipi’s which overlook the gardens and water, such a gorgeous view. As night falls, the atmosphere changes with all the lights reflecting onto the water. A magical place.

We have 4 beautiful new cottages sleeping 14 people included in the venue hire. A beautiful outlook over the farm and water. The honeymoon cottage ‘Poppy’ being a little bit special and 3 other luxury cottages being 2 bedroom. They are air conditioned and fans throughout. Fully self contained, a nice place to gather with your friends and family to get ready and relax. One of the cottages is accessible.

Also have some cool accommodation at the Homestead. It is an ideal place for your wedding party to get ready and also a special place to relax, reflect and enjoy after your special day. Beautifully furnished with period pieces. Air-conditioned bedroom with a comfortable iron bed. The accommodation includes an amazing western-styled saloon bar with billiards table, pinball machine and arcade system. Contains a separate bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. There is a swimming pool, undercover deck and BBQ area, even an outdoor fire pit to keep the night warm and cosy. Sleeps 2-4 with one queen size bed and an extra double bed if required. The homestead accommodation is optional.
