About the venue

Set amongst the rolling hills of the Southern Highlands, Montrose House is a beautiful 33-acre country estate in Sutton Forest, exclusively yours for your wedding day.

At the heart of the estate is the original 1860s homestead, surrounded by established English-inspired gardens, sweeping lawns, meadows, orchards and shady woodland. It feels wonderfully private and secluded, with every part of your wedding taking place within the one beautiful estate.

Say I do beneath the canopy of the heritage gardens before celebrating with a relaxed garden party, complete with cocktails at the Greenhouse Bar, canapés and lawn games. While your guests explore the gardens, there are endless beautiful locations for photographs, from the rose garden and woodland to the rolling paddocks.

As evening arrives, move into Badgery Hall for dinner and dancing. With soaring ceilings, exposed English bond brickwork, a heritage fireplace and crystal chandelier, the hall offers an elegant yet relaxed setting for receptions of up to 130 guests. Later, step outside beneath the festoon lights for a drink around the fire pit or a stroll through the gardens.

From getting ready in The Retreat, to your ceremony, garden party, photographs and reception, Montrose House allows your entire wedding day to unfold in one place. With beautiful food, carefully selected wines and drinks, dedicated wedding planning and an experienced team taking care of the details, you can simply settle in and enjoy every part of the celebration.
