Have I mentioned I love weddings? As a Makeup Artist and Hairstylist, we are usually the first point of contact on your big day - we sometimes spend up to 8 + hours together on the morning of your wedding! I understand that how you LOOK will directly impact how you FEEL. My goal is to support you on the emotional rollercoaster of a wedding morning.

Whether your wedding planning has spanned 18 long months, or you have your sights set on an intimate elopement, having a professional, attentive and calm Hair and Makeup Artist on board will ensure everything goes off according to plan :)

STANDARD BRIDAL INCLUSIONS

• Expert makeup application. I will offer my professional advice based on 14 years experience of what would enhance your features.
• Hairstyling of your choice, including face framing where necessary and hair padding for upstyles.
• A fun hair and makeup trial appointment where we can fine tune any aspect of your desired bridal look.
• In-depth skin consultation to assist point you in the right direction to ensure your skin is the best it can be. After all - good skin = great makeup!
• A specialised hair consultation where we can explore the best styles based on your hair thickness and length to ensure the style will last all day.
• Application of clip in extensions. I can apply existing extensions you own or am happy to assist you in recommending extensions.
• On-the-day hair refresh for when more than just face framing is required. This is perfect for brides who opt for a half-up style and need to tailor their hair length to the dress.
• Hair padding for updos plus veil and accessory placement.
• Application of individual lash extensions.
• Optional luxury wedding day touch up kits which are curated in line with your choice of makeup on the day.
• Personalised vendor recommendations based off professionals I love working with in the wedding industry.
• Additional artist coordination for hair and makeup for bookings above 5 services.

Most importantly my aim is to be there to support you, not just for the hair and makeup! I bring a sense of calm to all mornings so that you can relax and trust that you will both look and feel amazing.

Hello! I'm Ella, the face behind Ella Jean Hair and Makeup. I'm a Makeup Artist and Hairstylist with over a decade of experience based in the Southern Highlands. Yes, its cold but I love it!

I am often asked "What do I prefer, hair or makeup?" My answer is always doing both. Although this means I am always a bit of a pack horse with 2 kits, I LOVE doing the whole look.

Why? Because hair and makeup should be cohesive, and when I'm given the opportunity to create the whole design - its magic!

That being said, being involved in any part of my client's special occasion or wedding whether its Makeup Or Hair or Both, I'm in my element.

WHATS MY WHY?

Bridal Hair and Makeup is so much more than just a job for me, in the same way that your wedding is far from just another day for you.

The reason I specialise in Bridal and Event hair and makeup basically comes down to the joy I get from making someone feel good. Sounds pretty simple right? Getting someone ready for an event is much more than just a bit of blush and sticking on some lashes. Makeup has the power to boost confidence, and it's a way of showing up for yourself. Look good feel good!

WHO IS MY CLIENT?

Let's be honest, there are so many Hair and Makeup artists out there, and there is someone for everyone! If you're the type of bride who wants to feel elevated, but still like YOU then you're in the right place. My style is soft glam looks paired with hair that looks like hair (no helmet heads). My makeup style is glowy, blushy with a touch of glam. As a hairstylist my loves are bouncy blowdries, textured waves, ponytails, and modern upstyles.
