Moments Photography & Film

We’re Shyani and Simon, the couple behind Moments Photography & Film. We’re based in Sydney, but we especially love photographing and filming weddings in the Southern Highlands and on the NSW South Coast. Country gardens, open paddocks, coastal bushland and a room full of your favourite people are very much our thing.

Our work is documentary at heart, with a love of colour, beautiful light and a creative perspective. We’re drawn to the shots between the shots. The laugh after the photo you thought we were taking, the quick squeeze of a hand, your friends getting a little carried away on the dance floor. Those moments say so much about you and the people you love.

We spend much of the day watching, anticipating and capturing things as they happen. We’re always looking for interesting light and compositions, while leaving you space to enjoy yourselves. When it’s time for portraits, we’ll give you enough direction to feel comfortable, with plenty of walking, talking and movement. You don’t need to practise posing beforehand. We’ll help when you need it and keep things relaxed.

Our photography is warm, colourful and true to life. Alongside digital, we also shoot film photography and Super 8, bringing another texture and feeling to the way we capture your day. We love the grain, the colours and the little imperfections that make each frame its own.

Our videography has that same sense of fun, with lots of movement, interaction and personality. The banter, the big hugs, the spontaneous moments and the way you make each other laugh all help tell your story. We want your wedding video to feel alive, and to bring you straight back to being there with everyone.

Working together comes naturally to us. We know each other’s rhythm, share an eye for the little things and bring plenty of energy while keeping things calm when you need it. Most of all, we want you to feel comfortable being yourselves and have a really good time.
