ARUNA Estate is the prefect wedding venue in the Southern Highlands to celebrate your special day. Just 90 minutes out of Sydney and set in a stunning natural environment, the estate ensures success by harnessing the power of nature.

ARUNA is fully equipped to cater a wedding ceremony, cocktails and reception for up to 60-100 guests, without having to bring in a thing! Accommodating 20 of those guests in our existing villas and cabins or increasing to your full group with a glamping experience. Drawing on our partners and preferred vendors, Aruna offers end-to-end wedding services designed to bring your vision to life, from planning and logistics to on-the-day coordination, so you can focus on celebrating.

CEREMONY LOCATIONS:

The Pine Forest - Accommodating up to 100 guests seated or standing, the Pine Forest offers a majestic natural setting with shade and dappled sunlight.

Amongst the Gums - This rustic bush setting can accommodate up to 40 seated guests or 60, with some standing. Scribbly Gums provide a native backdrop to your vows.

Overlooking the Dam = Closer to the main house on the property and with existing facilities, this location has open views to the Villas and the State Forest beyond. It can accommodate 60 guests seated or standing

The Urn Garden - In front of the Residence and close to The Stables, this is the most formal of our ceremony locations and can accommodate up to 100 guests seated or standing. Set in front of an oversized Urn, this location provides a lovely focal point, a short walk to your reception.

RECEPTION SPACES:

The Stables is designed with flexibility in mind; The Stables can host elegant sit-down weddings for 60 or stand-up cocktails style for 100. It features flexible light filled space, outdoor firepit, full catering kitchen, indoor fireplace, garden views, air conditioning.

Celebrate Under The Stars; Unique to ARUNA Estate is our long, pine lined driveway, which can be transformed into a majestic event space. Up to 60 guests, seated on a long table leading up to the Urn Garden, light bouncing off the tree canopy to provide a warm celebratory environment. Best of all, our Stables is a perfect wet weather back up, removing a huge amount of stress from the equation.

CATERING:

At ARUNA, we believe that food not only fuels the body but also nourishes the soul. Our culinary partner, Dee, expertly crafts dishes using fresh produce from our garden, ensuring each meal is rich in both flavour and nourishment. Experience a true paddock-to-plate journey with us. Elevate your event with Flavours by Dee. Dee offers a range of food and beverage packages tailored to meet your needs and preferences, ensuring a memorable dining experience for every occasion. Long lunch - A selection of menus, shared or plated, spaced throughout an afternoon of celebration. Cocktails & Canapes - Keep things free and easy with an extraordinary array of tastes and flavours. ACCOMMODATION:

ARUNA offers a choice of accommodation so you can find the perfect space to relax and unwind.

CABINS: Our cabins have been designed to blend with the rugged bush setting. Custom built for their bush location, our two cabins provide a stylish and snug escape. They are completely off grid so you can ensure your total freedom from the everyday. Our cabins are conveniently located just a short nature trail walk from Paddy’s River, where you will find riverside meditation decks, designed for you to while away the hours to birdsong and the sound of wind in the trees. Sleeps up to 3 people: Bedroom 1 x loft queen bed; Sitting Area 1 x single bed.

VILLAS: Our villas provide the creature comforts of a stylish retreat. Set amongst the Australian Blackwoods and native Lilly Pilly’s, the villas offer a dreamy view down the valley. Enjoy the beautiful bush views from your villa deck, as you indulge in complimentary treats from local providers or cook dinner on the outdoor fire pit BBQs. You’ll have easy access to the trails of the State Forest for biking or hiking. Or you can stretch out on the yoga deck at the base of the biggest Eucalyptus tree in the area. Sleeps up to 3 people: 1 x queen bed, 1 x sofa bed

THE RESIDENCE: The Residence offers four beautifully appointed ‘hotel rooms’ all with access to a shared sitting room and a ‘pantry’ offering wine and snacks in the evening, as well as a continental breakfast in the morning. Each room has its own ensuite and outdoor sitting area for you to enjoy your morning coffee.

GLAMPING: Partnering with Petit Nomad and Ensuite Onsite, ARUNA can offer up to 16 luxury glamping tents accommodating 32 guests in luxury glamping tents, set in a ‘glamping village’ in our paddock. Glampers will share luxury bathrooms and outdoor showers. This is great way to extend our accommodation offering and have all of your group stay together for two nights on the property.

CELEBRATE UNDER THE STARS: Event for up to 60 guests. Choice of four Ceremony locations. Pre-reception drink’s location. Sit-down dinner under the Pine Trees. All furniture, equipment and enhanced tabletop set up. Accommodation for two nights for 10 couples.

ON THE LARGER SIDE: ARUNA can accommodate up to 150 guests Choice of four Ceremony locations. Pre-reception drink’s location. Sit-down dinner in a marquee on the tennis court. All furniture, equipment and enhanced tabletop set up. This package would also cover the marquee, toilet blocks and off-site catering equipment to facilitate the outdoor dinner set up and service. Accommodation for two nights for 10 couples.

A moments decision to visit the Southern Highlands led to owners, Antony and Chris, falling in love with the property upon first sight. They saw a unique opportunity to create a place that celebrates nature, sustainable farming, local produce, and where genuine warm country hospitality could come together to create meaningful celebrations and unforgettable weddings.

The name ARUNA was derived from two cultural meanings: ARUN meaning dawn or daybreak in Thai, while in Japanese 'ARUNA' translates to ‘moon love’. For us, this symbolises the beauty we see from dawn to dusk and the deep connection between nature, love and life's most meaningful moments.

Set across 70-acres, ARUNA Estate is home to a working sheep farm, organic produce gardens, natural bushland, and accommodation options, all within the landscapes of the Southern Highlands.

ARUNA is nestled in a picturesque setting, with views of open, blue skies and the rich, warm tones of the Australian bush. It’s the perfect place for relaxing, unwinding and disconnecting from the day to day.

For Antony and Chris, ARUNA is a place to slow down, reconnect and appreciate life's simple pleasures. A place where moments are shared and where love is celebrated in its most genuine form. It is this spirit that flows through every wedding held at ARUNA Estate. There is nothing they enjoy more than sharing a bottle of red wine on the meditation deck, overlooking the peaceful waters of Paddy's River as it winds through the property.

You ask how much I love you; I tell you to look at the MOON! Sometimes the moon is full and bright. Sometimes, only a crescent. Sometimes you can’t see the moon at all, but you know it is ALWAYS there. The Moon represents my love.
