For a while, the much-anticipated opening of Caoura Cliffs was all we talked about. The views, the landscape, the double-height glass walls - it was a wedding venue and event space unlike anything we'd seen. Still is.

Located in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, it sits on 1,100 acres of private wilderness. Its modern architecture, moody interiors and panoramic outlooks make it a venue that’s striking year-round and completely versatile - whether styled for an intimate dinner or a full-scale wedding, it lends itself to creativity and connection in equal measure.

With its first official wedding season now in full swing, it felt timely to share our second styled shoot here. A creative collaboration between Ivy Lane Collective (florals, styling and linen), SOCO Event Hire (furniture hire), Luke Fletcher (photography), Fine Wine Studio (stationery) and Wedshed Managed (planning and coordination), this talented team transformed the property's modern pavilion into a nature-inspired celebration of texture, form and simplicity.

The design centred around a circular tablescape that tied the indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly together. Draped in olive-toned linen and surrounded by wild greenery, sculptural blooms and flickering candlelight, they created a look that felt organic and elevated all at once and perfectly in tune with the surrounding landscape. Every detail (from the layered foliage to the elegant stationery suite) was chosen to echo the organic curves and colours of the surrounding bushland.

Inside, the venue’s warm timber ceilings and exposed brick textures added a lovely, lived-in feel. While just beyond the glass walls, the never-ending views were a reminder that at Caoura Cliffs, nature always plays a starring role.

This shoot proves just how adaptable this space is. Whether you’re envisioning an intimate elopement by the fire or a full-scale reception with 120 guests, Caoura Cliffs can shape-shift beautifully. It’s a venue that invites creativity with a canvas that works as well with minimalist elegance as it does with bold, maximalist florals. As the first wave of weddings begins to unfold here, it’s clear this is more than a venue - it’s a setting for stories, connection and celebration.
