The sunny state sure has a whole lot of love to give when it comes to hot-spots to skip to. Whether it’s for your honeymoon or just a much-deserved (we’re sure) getaway with your SO, we’ve got both hands up in advocating for some one-on-one time. So here’s a collection of the most romantic QLD Airbnbs we could find – enjoy *wink wink*.
It’s not often we’re sold on a property by the bathroom alone. But it’s their main profile pic on Airbnb and it did the trick. The red weatherboard cladding of this barn also put it on the shortlist, as did the plunge pool and surrounding countryside.
If you’re the kind of person who feels like their true self in beautiful surrounds (yes, us too), then you’re going to appreciate the interiors of this chic pool house. Think a large, white and breezy living space with a wood-panelled vaulted roof and French doors leading out onto a shared designer pool. We sound like real estate agents but this is one not to miss.
Be still, my beating heart. This charming white-washed country cottage is situated high on a hill of a 2,300-acre farm, overlooking the Conondale Vale. Surrounded by mountain ranges, the views stretch long and wide – just like the love you feel for your travel companion.
Who needs the international borders to reopen when you’ve got places like this in your own backyard (jks of course, we’d actually really, really like an OS holiday right now). It’s all about the outdoor pavilion for us with the private spa, beautiful pool and outdoor BBQ bar.
This view says it all – a tropical oasis with a vista out to local bushland and a private designer pool. We reckon most of your time would be spent on this deck in semi-clothed condition (or not at all), enjoying the birdsong and a couple of glasses of something bubbly and refreshing.
Prepare to get cosy. This 1960s Airstream caravan is parked on the timber deck of a beachfront property. Spend the morning frolicking in the waves, freshen up with an open-air shower under blooming bougainvillaea and then take a nap in the hammocks before enjoying an ocean sunset.
If this rustic cabin doesn’t steal your heart then go get it checked. Surrounded by peaceful rainforest and with all the elements to create a luxurious, romantic stay (fireplace, bathtub, antique furniture, piano…), it’s the ideal place to re-spark the flame.
The pool is enough to sell this property but wait, there’s more. This light and bright cottage is a great base to explore all that the Whitsundays has to offer (think day trips to the islands, Great Barrier Reef and Whitehaven Beach). It’s both stylish and private, surrounded by national parkland.
Filled with eclectic styling and treasures, this cool bungalow is surrounded by the bushland of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. BBQ on the patio, kick back in the sunny deckchairs or just Netflix and chill indoors (yes, they have Netflix).
Bunker down in the clouds at this unique QLD Airbnb. Just a few clicks on a world-renowned waterfall, there’s bushwalking to be done nearby, as well as drinking, eating and canoodling within the canvas walls.
The interiors of this New York-style loft house are perfect. And the exterior doesn’t let this place down either – enjoy the fire pit, dip in the shared pool and grab the beach bag provided by your host for sunny coastal days.
A literal treehouse. This wooden cabin is nestled among tropical rainforest in total privacy – 100m from the nearest dwelling. Bring everything you need to relax for a weekend and just don’t leave. That’d be our plan.
