It wasn’t the food, handpicked flowers or gorgeous dresses that we liked most about this wedding (although they were all epic), it was Brooke and Jacob’s relaxed attitude about every element of their day.

It’s also not hard to see why they chose this picture-perfect TAS wedding venue, Sandridge Estate, to say their I-do’s at. Featuring 500 acres of property between Rocky Cape National Park in Tasmania and the picturesque Boat Harbour Beach, this beautiful venue allows you to glamp on their land, which was previously a working farm oozing with rustic charm.

See more of their day below captured by Jarod Lucas.

In a nutshell, how would you describe your wedding day?

Lots of laughs and lots of love.

What did you expect was going to be your favourite part in the lead-up? What did it end up being?

I hadn’t really thought about what my favourite part of the day would be prior to the day. Now it’s being able to look back through our photos and video and relive everything from the day. You pick up on moments you had forgotten about happening. And it’s something special we both treasure.

Did you write your own vows? If so, what made you decide to do that?

Yep, we wrote our vows together. We made it so we had the same vows, sweet and simple to live by.

What was it about your wedding venue that made you choose it?

Sandridge Estate is such a super cool venue. It’s laid back, has a great vibe and is designed for a party. This ticked all the boxes for us, plus who doesn’t want to have a sleepover glamp-out wedding!

Now that you’re married, what’s your best piece of wedding planning advice you can share?

Don’t get caught up in the small stuff. Honestly, enjoy the planning and organising, it’s half of the fun! Get a good photographer and videographer! It’s what you have to hang onto after the day is done.

If you had your time again, is there anything you’d do differently?

Nope. Honestly, our day was a dream! Things went wrong but they turned out to be the best memories I will hang onto from the day!

Finish these sentences: My partner is…

Brooke: my partner is a dreamboat.

Jacob: my partner is my best friend.

The best thing we did at our wedding was…

A live band and the dance floor.

We splurged on…

Fantastic photographers and good food.

We saved on…

Flowers and greenery. We went foraging and collected our own flowers to create bouquets and floral arrangements.
