About This Venue
Hello. The biggest congrats on your engagement.
You have one of the most wonderful days ahead of you. We’re so pleased to make your acquaintance.
The Cellar Door at Lowe sits on the 1,000 acre Tinja farm – a sixth generation property farmed biodynamically and organically.
Beyond its visual allure, the Cellar Door offers a feast for the senses. The sweet aroma of aged wines mingles with country breezes, and the sound of your guest’s laughter and joy fills the air.
A working shed with beautiful, rustic design elements, The Cellar Door offers ample space to host a long-table dining experience for your guests. Or you might instead choose to keep things more relaxed and graze the evening away cocktail-style, mingling with loved ones across the surrounding terrace and cellar door gardens. Spill out on to the lawn, enjoy pink skies and soak up the atmosphere without a care in the world.
However you envision your wedding to look and no matter the size, The Cellar Door offers a historic, charming canvas to make your mark and is ripe for a good party.
We focus on seasonal, local produce – much of it grown onsite – served generously and bursting with flavour. Our farm has been certified organic for 15 years.
Whether you’re wanting to serve delicious canapés or generous family-style platters, our menus are designed by our team of creative chefs in collaboration with you. The dietary requirements of you and your guests will be happily catered for, and we promise to nourish your loved ones. They’ll leave full and talking about your food for months or even years to come.
As one of the longest standing wineries in the region, we produce wines that speak distinctly of the terroir and region. Known for our gutsy quartz-loving Mudgee reds, you’ll find a diverse range of wines on the menu, including delicious fresh whites and our party-starting sparking rosé, Jodie.
From years of experience, making wine across the world on some outstanding old vineyards, our winemaker David Lowe’s belief is the best wine comes from unirrigated, un-trellised, organic and biodynamic vineyards – so this is what we do (and there haven’t been many complaints!).
We’d love to invite you out to The Cellar Door and take you around the property (with a glass of something delicious) to hear more about your wedding plans. Enquire here and we’ll be back in touch shortly with further info.
AN INVITATION: Join us on the property for upcoming site visits (with a glass of wine).

Owner / Manager
We’re a bunch of warm, welcoming people that absolutely love our work. We’re quite partial to a glass or several of wine (unsurprisingly) and we take enormous pride and honour in helping play a part in one of the biggest milestones in a person’s life. G’day, from us – we hope to meet you in person.
Director and Executive Chef Kim Currie has been cooking professionally for over 35 years and comes from a family of chefs. Having championed NSW regional dining and food for more than three decades, local produce and producers have always been a central focus. This focus is embodied in her renowned regional food garden and restaurant Zin House, where Kim produces food that tastes of where we live, prepared from scratch using classic techniques.
From years of experience, making wine across the world on some outstanding old vineyards, our Chief Winemaker and Director David Lowe’s belief is the best wine comes from unirrigated, un-trellised, organic and biodynamic vineyards – so this is what we do (and there haven’t been many complaints!).
Weddings at the Lowe Family Estate are managed exclusively by the team at Wedshed – we’d love to hear your plans (or help you formulate them).
