The Barn, with its rustic charm, can be styled simply to keep within its country character. The Hay Shed, with its open air and elegant styling, makes the most of the sweeping views across the valley and surrounding mountain range. Both The Barn and The Hay Shed can hold up to 150 people seated and 180 for a cocktail reception in either venue.
With amazing views of the valley as the backdrop for your ceremony and accommodation for 24 people, it’s a perfect location for a destination wedding in the Hunter Valley. An abundance of additional accommodation for your other guests are available all within 5 minutes.

Owner / Manager
In 2012, Karyn Fox and her family, moved from Sydney to live with her parents, David and Bronwen Fox, on their property on Adams Peak Road. Although the move was initially temporary as a step to ‘get out of the rat race’, with one small child and falling pregnant again weeks after arriving, they decided that Broke was the ideal place to bring up their family, and decided to stay. Soon enough, they became involved in the family business, Adams Peak Retreat. The Retreat was initially a 4 bedroom house that David and Bronwen converted to a B&B in 2008.
The business soon took a new and exciting direction when the family combined their talents utilising Karyn’s extensive background in bridal retail and marketing combined with David and Bronwen’s experience in sales, hospitality and venue management.
Their small but unique team has worked diligently over the last few years to create their vision of “The Barn”, a rustic, chic space that will continue to grow and improve along with its’ popularity. Those who have been watching since that first wedding in 2009, will note the amazing changes that have occurred to both The Barn and the Adams Peak property (with a lot of hard work).
Shaye came on board in 2015 to assist with weddings. Then due to the ongoing growth and expansion, in 2017, Michael Fox, Karyn’s brother, moved to the Hunter Valley and joined the family business. Michael’s talents in operations, marketing, sales and his flair for landscape and development has been a welcome addition to the team.
Since our first wedding back in 2012, the Fox family have continued to invest in Adams Peak Country Estate to improve it for all, and we will endeavour to do so in the future.
We are extremely proud of our beautiful property, and love sharing it with others, and want to ensure the couple, their families and their guests have an exceptional experience. One to remember for ever.

"Suffice to say that from the moment we first saw Adams Peak and met Karyn we knew this was the place we would get married. My husband Gav and I recently said our I do's here and we absolutely loved it, so did our guests!
Not only is Adam's Peak a stunningly picturesque location but they provide the relaxed and intimate atmosphere that we wanted for our big day. All of the suppliers suggested by Karyn were fantastic; our celebrant Jacie wrote us the most unique, fun and unforgettable ceremony, Monkey Place catering's food was absolutely delicious and TLC's bar staff provided the personable and efficient service we were after.
Leading up to our big day Karyn was always available and willing to answer ANY questions we had, however big or small, and offer support and suggestions - she's an absolute legend!

"Nick and I had the most magical and unforgettable wedding at the Barn in early January. It was everything we could have asked for and more. The setting is breathtaking, the house and the cabin are a perfect spot for family and friends and the barn is the most beautiful spot for a reception, all topped off with an outdoor dance floor (which we definitely took advantage of!)
Karyn, and all the staff, are friendly and supportive, both on the day and in the lead up – we couldn’t have organised it without all of their great advice.
