In 1770 Captain Cook discovered Kurnell. Today, nearly 250 years later Kurnell is once again in the spotlight with the opening of Sydney’s newest hot spot, COOK at KURNELL. Located on the shimmering shores of Silver Beach, just minutes from Captain Cook’s landing place in Kurnell, this vintage airstream food van is already wowing locals and tourists alike. With a menu developed by Studio Neon’s Richie Robinson (now Edible Ideas), this quirky kiosk is licensed to chill.

Serving up a tasty helping of beach tucker, 5 days a week, with early dinners Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights in Summer. Kick back with a spritz and fish and chips, as you watch the sunsets and sails over world famous Botany Bay and back over the city skyline beyond.

Up-cycled communal benches provide the perfect spot to catch up in the large alfresco garden area. The coastal hamlet of Kurnell, remains still largely unexplored, yet this sleepy peninsula in the Sutherland Shire offers fun activities for the whole family.
