Tell us a bit about your business?

We’re Sydney caterers that are as obsessed about the food we make as we are about the styling. We’re always hunting out new food trends to make sure that we stay at the forefront of the industry. We describe our styling as ‘messy opulence’, which we hope translates as that carefree look that actually took hours to perfect. We aim to wow our clients and their guests with our setups. We service all of Sydney and our team are extremely passionate about making sure every wedding is memorable.

How did you get into your line of work?

I’ve always spent my spare time in the kitchen! A lot of my friends had me cater their celebrations and often a lot of their guests would ask me for a business card. I decided to put my marketing career on hold for the moment and chase my dream of being an epic caterer!

What sets your business apart?

I believe it is our styling that really makes The Blonde Butler memorable. We aim to really make an impactful first impression at every event.

What do you love most about your job?

Being able to use my creativity to create something delicious – especially when it is for someone’s special day.

How would others describe you?

A little obsessive compulsive, creative and generous.

What services do you offer and how much flexibility do couples have to create their own unique day?

We pretty much offer it all! We do cocktail parties, buffets, food stations and platters. But what we really love is when a couple briefs us on a big idea and we can really work our magic.

Describe the kind of couples you attract.

They have no interest in alternate drop chicken or beef, they want their guests to interact with the food and enjoy a casual environment with high end food.

Share your favourite predicted wedding trend.

A mini food market where there are lots of different stalls serving various types of food. Oyster shucking station, slider station, barista bar, cheese & truffle toastie station… I could go on forever!

What are two questions couples generally want to ask you?

Q. How can we make sure our guests won’t leave hungry? A. We’re experts, leave it to us!

Q. What can you do that’ll make our guests leave with a massive smile? A. The midnight cheese & truffle toastie to soak up a bit of the champs!

 

Can you share some advice for newly engaged couples?

Have a look online for some inspiration, get a brief understanding of the type of wedding you want and then reach out to your vendors. It makes for smooth sailing when we understand the type of event you’re after.

What’s your favourite thing you’ve seen a couple do at a wedding?

Recreate Dirty Dancing… I couldn’t help myself, one of my Butler’s and I had to do it as well in the kitchen.
