Lilburndale

Lilburndale is a wonderfully unique wedding venue providing a mix of beautifully preserved history and picturesque Australian landscapes.

One of the most historic sites in the Hawkesbury region, Lilburndale is a short 1.15-hour drive from Sydney. The scenic 1100-acre property features Lilburndale House, The Bush Chapel and other historic pastoral buildings including The Packing Shed wedding reception venue.

Couples can choose from two ceremony sites: the Lilburndale House Circa 1829, with its manicured lawns and sweeping views or The Bush Chapel, an all-weather setting surrounded by towering gums and a stunning view over the valley. There are a variety of beautiful locations throughout the grounds of Lilburndale for your wedding portraits while your guests enjoy the serenity and refreshments from The Folly Bar.

The Packing Shed’s wedding reception venue caters for up to 120 guests for a canape style wedding and 110 for a sit-down dining experience. Originally built in the 1920s, the venue boasts a polished industrial style interior with a mixture of concrete floors, black steel, and timber. Antique citrus farming machinery has been restored and repurposed throughout the venue, giving the venue character and depth. With plenty of contemporary touches, the Packing Shed still retains its original charm – it’s rustic done right!

We want to make planning your wedding day easy and stress-free, allowing you to relax and enjoy the celebrations. Our venue hire is all-inclusive providing venue hire, tables, chairs, cutlery, crockery, lounges, as well as set up and pack down of the Lilburndale inclusions. By simply adding floristry the venue looks amazing!

We work with a range of incredible caterers who know our venue well. You’re welcome to choose from our recommended list or bring in your preferred team (we just ask they meet a few guidelines for smooth service).

Lilburndale is owned by the Cotter family and has been operating as a working cattle farm for the past 20 years. After staging the property for a family wedding in 2013, the Cotter’s decided they should share the beauty of Lilburndale with others for their special day. Sister (in-law) duo Felicity and Amy managing the venue, each bringing their own strengths to the local wedding industry.

Felicity handles all enquiries, bookings, and coordination of the elements that make up your wedding day. With over 15 years of experience in business administration, she has all the tools to keep your wedding planning on track. Amy is our style queen, she manages everything behind the scenes to make sure your wedding day not only looks amazing but goes off without a hitch.
