Located in the stunning Howqua Valley, just 20 minutes from Mansfield, Howqua Lodge offers a spacious and completely private setting surrounded by native bush and sweeping mountain views. It’s the perfect spot for couples looking for a relaxed, rustic wedding with genuine country charm.

Your ceremony, photos, and reception can all take place on the property, with panoramic views of the valley as your backdrop. Our reception space, The Barn, is a large, flexible area draped in festoon and fairy lights – equally suited to a catered sit-down dinner or a casual food truck feast. It includes a bar, dance floor, food servery, alfresco landing and plenty of room to create your ideal layout.

We provide beautiful solid timber slab and trestle tables, cross-back chairs, wine barrels, market umbrellas, and the option to add hay bales or fire pits for a relaxed, country atmosphere. The space is yours to make your own – decorate with flowers, fabrics, or furniture to suit your style.

On-site accommodation in The Stables offers comfortable lodging for up to 18 guests across a mix of double, single, and bunk beds – perfect for your wedding party or close family and friends.

Our Howqua Lodge Wedding Package includes exclusive use of the property, The Barn, and The Stables for two nights, giving you time to settle in, celebrate, and enjoy the moment without rush.

Howqua Lodge is owned and run by Simon and Sophie who live full-time on the property. Together, they bring a blend of experience and down-to-earth hospitality – Sophie with many years in weddings and events, and Simon with a strong background in farming and small business.

They’re passionate about creating a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where couples and guests can truly unwind and enjoy their time in the valley. With its peaceful setting, native wildlife, and secluded feeling, Howqua Lodge is a place they feel lucky to call home – and they love sharing it with others.
