Tucked away in the lush Byron Bay hinterland, Hinterland House is a breathtaking heritage-listed estate designed for once-in-a-lifetime weddings.

Located just outside the charming village of Bangalow, this hidden gem sits atop 20 acres of manicured grounds and rolling macadamia orchards. A grand palm-lined driveway leads to the original homestead, built in the early 1900s and lovingly preserved with soaring 14-foot ceilings, vine-draped archways, handcrafted stonework, and stained-glass windows.

The estate sleeps up to 16 guests across the main residence and two private cottages – perfect for hosting intimate pre- and post-wedding gatherings, and for accommodating interstate or international guests in comfort and style.

From the wraparound verandah, you’ll take in sweeping hinterland views – a dream setting for both celebration and photography. The grounds offer multiple ceremony and reception options, with idyllic backdrops at every turn.

Hinterland House has been part of the Byron Bay hinterland community since 2018, following a meticulous renovation that transformed the estate into one of the region’s premier event venues. In recent years, the property has undergone a full rebrand and a stunning interior redesign in collaboration with local design studio, Bisque.
