Hand-built using locally sourced and milled jarrah and marri timber, the barn showcases exceptional craftsmanship and authentic country character. Featuring locally sourced stone, hand-fired bricks from historic kilns, repurposed lighting, and striking jarrah trusses, the space blends rustic charm with refined elegance.

Large jarrah folding doors open onto a brick-paved terrace overlooking manicured lawns, tranquil lakes, and a picturesque river valley—creating a stunning backdrop for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and photography.

Inside, Orchard Barn offers luxury bathrooms, a fully equipped bar, and a convenient caterer’s kitchen, making it an ideal all-in-one wedding venue. A beautiful stone wood fireplace adds warmth and atmosphere, perfect for cosy winter weddings and intimate gatherings.

Set within a peaceful farm and forest setting near Manjimup in WA’s South West, Orchard Barn is a sought-after destination for country weddings, micro weddings, and bespoke events.

Adding to the charm, our friendly farm animals are always a highlight—especially Holly and Honeysuckle, our two miniature donkeys who have delighted guests as the unforgettable "flowergirls" and photobooth moments in many weddings.

Our Story – Clover Cottage Country Retreat, Southern Forests WA

We’ve called Clover Cottage home since 1983, when we arrived as newlyweds with a vision to create something special. Set in the heart of the Southern Forests near Manjimup in Western Australia, it has been a place to raise our family, grow, and share with others.

Over the years, Paul has lovingly restored and built much of the property, with stone walls and buildings that blend naturally into the landscape. He even created a peaceful treehouse studio where Petrina can paint and unwind.

We share a love of gardening, farming, and country life, and for more than 20 years have welcomed guests—many of whom return time and again to enjoy the tranquillity and see the property evolve.

While our children have grown, they remain closely connected and often return to the farm. We’re also proud to be part of the local community, surrounded by national parks, forests, and beautiful beaches, all within easy reach.

Known as WA’s “food bowl,” the region celebrates its produce with events like the Manjimup Cherry Festival and Truffle Kerfuffle, making it a wonderful place to visit year-round.
