The story of how Molly and Josh met is by all accounts, incredibly sweet. As was their south coast wedding at Willow Farm Berry - a celebration to honour their love that was all about good food, good friends and bright, mood-boosting decor.

So grab a tissue (we did mention their love story is a bit of a tear-jerker) and enjoy these snaps by the talented folk from Storytellers Wedding Co.

How did you and Josh meet? "Their story began at the awkward age of 13, meeting in English class, sitting in assigned seats that placed Josh at the desk right in front of Molly's. A group of mutual friends sat around them chatting every class, but Josh was too diligent to turn around and join in the conversation.

The next year they were placed in the same class for English again, but this time it was Josh's turn to grab Molly's attention - saving a seat for her almost every lesson, even though there were a handful of his own friends in the room. This goofy pattern of young love continued for a few years until Josh made it official, and asked Molly to be his girlfriend between two parked cars on their walk to the science labs. A quick hug and giggle, and it was official!"

The proposal: It wasn't a surprise at all, but it was the sweetest few days away!

We planned to go to a tiny home in the Blue Mountains for a few days prior to meeting my family in Mudgee for the long weekend. We'd lied to both our families - Josh's family thought we were already in Mudgee, my family thought we were down the coast with Josh's family.

So we set it up to be the best surprise when we got to tell all of them!

We were excited and in our own little bubble when we first got engaged - it was our first morning at the tiny home, Josh got up and made a coffee, I made us a little fire to sit around outside and watch the cows/sunrise. The timing of the actual engagement was all up to Josh!

I went inside to brush my teeth knowing something was happening, and when I came back out, he'd setup a tripod which was a dead give away - but I'm really grateful because it captured the cutest moment ever!

When we met my family at a winery and they saw my ring and started screaming before we'd even said anything! That was when it switched from sweet, loved up vibes to really fucking excited and ready to celebrate!

The venue: We knew from the start that we wanted to be out in nature, have the ability to be a bit creative with our decor and colour, and ideally be close to Wollongong for the sake of our grandparents being able to make our wedding with ease.

As the first (and only venue we visited), Willow Farm ticked all the boxes; beautiful location, freedom to decorate how we wanted, different ceremony options, close to home location, on-site accomodation for us and our bridal party, shuttle bus into Berry for our guests, BYO drinks so we got to decide our own menu completely, and we were able to bring our fur baby along which just made the day that much more special.

The vibe: We've always been a very chill couple that love to embrace colour and have a good time, so our wedding was no different. We've been together since high school, so the vibe was focused around celebrating that with the people that we love, having fun and dancing the night away.

Traditions (adopted, adapted or ditched?): We had a few standard traditions, but there were a few little twists that I loved and that made the ceremony feel less like a performance and much more personal.

One of my favourites was having both my parents walk me down the aisle, this just made it even more magical and I'm so happy to have shared that moment with them both!

We also had ninja vows, which are vows written by our bridal party to hold us both accountable. They were just funny and personal and really enhanced how cosy our wedding felt. "Molly, do you promise Josh that you will continue to take care of the house plants as if they were your own children" "Josh, do you promise to always match Molly's energy, and her outfit?"

For the ceremony, we looked out at all of our family and friends, rather than just staring at each other the whole time. This really helped break the fourth wall so our ceremony didn't feel like a performance, and let us see everyones reactions of love and laughter throughout the ceremony. I loved how we were able to look over at our bridal party, each other and back out at everyone - it felt like we didn't miss a moment!

The last twist on tradition that I loved was for Josh and I to stand on opposite sides to where our bridal party and parents sat. This meant that my parents and bridesmaids could see my face (and I could see them), and Josh's parents and groomsmen could see his face. As much as our in-laws love us, I think it was really special for them to get to see their own 'kids' face during our vows when we were facing each other.

The outfit/s: We both got outifits custom made... because why not!!?
Josh looked at a few different places, but nowhere had a nice fabric in a solid pink colour, so he custom made it!

I knew I wanted to go through the creative process of making a dress, so working with Anna to make something fun, bright and that fit like a glove, was such a fun time!

We both felt confident with the pieces that fit our bodies and our vibe perfectly, the whole process for each of us was a breeze and we got exactly what we were after as our end result.

Standout vendors: We LOVED all of our vendors, but I can't get over how incredible, kind and attentive the catering staff from Bumpy Road and Henry Clive Caravan Bar were. They were so easy to chat to both on the night and in the lead up, they accommodated different needs, topped up our drinks constantly and just gave off the loveliest vibe.

All of our guests mentioned how lovely the staff were too, with the staff even saying goodbye to us before they left - it was just a beautiful interaction and I'll recommend both vendors to everyone!

Soundtrack: Pre-aisle: "Best Part", by Daniel Caesar. Aisle song: "The Way I Love You", by Michal Leah. Signing: "Loving is Easy", by Rex Orange County and "Rose Pink Cadillac", by Dope Lemon. First dance: "In Her Eyes", by The Jungle Giants. Party starter: "September", by Earth, Wind & Fire.

Hit (or near) miss: There was a few things that were a little miss, but nothing major!

I'll always remember... I'll always remember the overwhelming feeling of joy and love, throughout the whole day and from everyone there. From the first moment of seeing Josh at the end of the aisle, to waving people off as they got on the bus, we were buzzing with that feeling all day.

Words of wisdom: Wedding planning has a lot of moving parts and it can get overwhelming; try to not let that take all of the fun out of it - remember why you're getting married and enjoy the journey.

Budget: We didn't really know what to expect going into our wedding planning, but the internet said $50-80k was about right (we were shocked!). I think we ended up around the $55-60k mark in the end, which we were pretty happy with.

The future: Continuing to create the life we want; our future together looks like a lot of travel overseas, camping trips with our fur baby and enjoying many more parties to come with family and friends.
