About This Venue
Wallalong House is located just out of the gorgeous town of Morpeth, two and quarter hours north of Sydney in the Hunter Valley. The house, the grounds, the grandeur are yours, as a wonderful setting for your special day.
The tone is set on arrival at the front gates which have been custom made to replicate the original iron work on the property and are fully electronic. As they open, your eyes are drawn along the pear-tree lined driveway across to the rustic 1830’s stables which have the original cobblestone flooring and decorative iron rails, purchased from the Crystal Palace Exhibition in London in 1854. Continuing further you arrive at the front of this amazing single-level country homestead, with wide sweeping verandahs and wrought iron columns. A splendid mix of Georgian and Victorian architecture, the home sits proudly amongst four massive one hundred and ninety year old fig trees with breathtaking views of the surrounding farmland.
The grounds of the estate feature rambling English style cottage gardens, antique wooden daybeds, french iron chairs and tables sprinkled on the lawns, four 194 year old fig trees line the front of the property where the ceremonies are held, an in-ground pool which is nestled on the edge of the Indian tent where the receptions are held.
Explore the stunning Wallalong House and discover a perfect place for the couple who want complete privacy on their wedding day.
The Indian Tent
150 guests can be seated comfortably in the permanent Indian tent, overlooking the pool on one side and with breathtaking country views on the other. Coral chandeliers and soft Edison lights in the tent and around the pool create a soft hue. The Indian tent features a 5-metre concrete bar, lined with old French shutters. The space is finished with polished concrete floors, reclaimed timber trestle tables, industrial chairs, antique wooden daybeds, an antique French industrial table and a zinc table. Antique daybeds are scattered around the verandahs, pool and gardens.
Dine in style. Be served on grey marble crockery with ribbed stainless steel cutlery, matt charcoal grey tea and coffee cups, pourers and teapots, white ceramic vases and crystal vases.
Wallalong House combines historic beauty with all the facilities of a modern venue, located in the breathtaking scenery of Wallalong along the banks of the Paterson River.
The grounds of the estate provide an amazing backdrop, with an in-ground pool, horse stables and extensive post and rail fencing. It is probably the best example of it’s kind and so rare on one level.
There are a number of locations around the extensive gardens which are perfect for your ceremony and photos. Wallalong House can be transformed into any theme or style.
1830s stables with cobbles stones and stables purchased in 1852 at the Crystal Palace exhibition in London, four 200-year-old fig trees at the front of the house overlooking panoramic country views stretching for miles, gardens and sandstone cellar all offer stunning photo opportunities.
Organising weddings can be stressful. Wallalong weddings can take all that stress away. We can provide assistance and suggestions for all your needs, these include, catering, celebrant, flowers, photography and transport.
