About This Venue

The Old Church at Milton is a unique, exclusive and wildly beautiful venue situated on the south coast of NSW and we are ready to host your important celebration. With the beautifully manicured grounds and picturesque views over the rolling Milton Valley to the mountain ranges in the distance, we have the key ingredients to fashion an event that is only limited by your imagination. Our marquee provides an outdoor dining experience, creating a perfect reception venue in the garden that allows you and your guests to take in the stunning surrounds while celebrating your special day.

The church itself hasn’t been operational for many years. It has been beautifully restored and converted into boutique accommodation for up to 6 guests and is included for two nights in all of our wedding reception packages. Its the perfect place for the bride or groom to get ready with their bridal party.

The garden has hundreds of different flowers, plants and tree species scattered throughout, making it a truly magical place for celebrations. We have three specially designed ceremony settings that are all equally lovely and perfect for any season. The first ceremony space we have created is the front courtyard- it looks back on the sandstone walls of the church and is surrounded by lush greenery and foliage. Follow the path around the corner and you will find our second ceremony space- the back garden and stonewall ruins. The rustic stonewall is the historic ruin of one of the original buildings on the property and it works perfectly as a platform for ceremonies. This space is very special as it has flowers and pathways scattered throughout and offers views of the entire garden. The third space we offer couples is the natural amphitheatre bordering the dam. It’s just a short stroll through the back paddock from the church and boasts pristine views of the mountains and the surrounding countryside.

We take food very seriously here at the Old Church at Milton so it makes perfect sense that we have partnered with Small Town Catering (they lovely folks who run St Isidore, our local one-hatted restaurant) headed by chef Alex Delly. Alex, his team of chefs and front of house staff, provide exceptional service and will design a menu that showcases the freshest, local produce and celebrates the beauty of seasonal food. They incorporate ingredients from our farm next door Claydon Park, as well as their own garden, to create a delicious feast that will be one of the highlights of your celebration with family and friends. We love a vino or two and think that it’s really important to pair the incredible food from Small Town Catering with top-notch wine and beer.

Small Town Catering offers premium 6 hour wine and beer package with all our weddings that can be matched to perfection with your celebratory feast. Customised packages can also be made available to our couples: we can offer prices upon request.

Specialising in event planning, coordinating and styling, our onsite events manager Lucey, works directly with couples to translate their ideas and visions into a reality. She will help source the best local vendors and use her own unique flair to create an unforgettable day that is designed to perfectly suit every couple. At The Old Church, our aim is to make your experience as stress-free as possible so that you are able to enjoy every second of your event celebrating with family and friends. Lucey will be your personal contact, planner and coordinator from the initial meeting right up until you are officially married. She will work closely with you to mastermind the styling, and together with her professional team will bring it all together, providing your dream ceremony and reception.
