About This Venue

Nestled on 15 hectares of farmland 50 minutes South East of Melbourne’s CBD sits our historic fully renovated Federation era barn with adjoining milking shed. This facility exudes Victoriana country character and is adorned with paraphernalia from the era. As well as being a pet friendly venue, The Barn is surrounded by our cattle and horses with nearby olive grove.

Homestead Park, and its surrounding grounds, offers flexible venue hire and event planning packages to suit all requirements. If you are simply looking for a unique rustic event venue, our team can assist with the set up and delivery of The Barn, including your choice of catering and BYO beverages.

Alternatively, if you are keen to hand the planning reigns over to an experienced local event manager, we will work with them to ensure that all elements of your event are ticked off, from catering, beverage services through to floristry and photography services.

Owner / Manager

Seamus Hill, current proprietor spent much of his childhood on the original 1300 acre farm with his grandfather: milking cows, shearing sheep, riding horses and driving and repairing farm vehicles.Luckily he was able to buy back part of his grandfather’s farm now 28 acres and currently resides there with his wife Kaye.

The residence was built in the late 1800sby John Dore, the first European settler in the Nar Nar Goon Area and is the second house built in the area.

Seamus plays cricket with Nar Nar Goon and spends his recreational time horse riding with Kaye and supporting his son Liam with his tennis, cricket and football.

Seamus and Kaye were married recently in the barn amid 150 guests, several of whom were so impressed with the venue they encouraged Seamus and Kaye to take the step to converting it into a function venue.
