Come and experience what a Seclusions wedding is all about:- discuss your wedding plans with Russ & Malynda, meet our fur family of Highland Coo’s & Alpaca’s. Talk to over 30 of NSW & the Blue Mountains award winning vendors. All the while nibbling on delicious food, washed down with local craft beers while your stroll our 20 acre property.

Seclusions, nestled at the peak of a naturally beautiful valley is a spectacular location, taking in the serene mountain and escarpment views during your wedding and reception celebrations. The unique features that Seclusions offers, coupled with modern amenities, flawless hospitality and attention to detail make this wedding destination one that will be fondly remembered.

A style assisted/co-ordinated wedding ceremony and reception venue that offers couples the flexibility to be totally involved in the setup, styling, selection of vendors and all decisions associated with their wedding or the ability to have a more laid back hands-off approach letting our amazing recommended vendors take care of the details for you. So if you love the look of Seclusions without the time to plan a wedding we’ve got you covered too & is an option that quite a few of our couples choose.

The property boasts a stunning amphitheatre ceremony area with our purpose built open air reception venue “The Pavilion” as a back up wet weather option, which has the ability to be fully enclosed in inclement weather. Boasting uninterrupted views across Lake Lyell to Mt Walker and Hassan’s Walls, seating up to 150 guests. The Boat Shed for canapés, dancing & lounging along with the 160yo wedding party preparation room “The Bakery”, a caterers area, bathrooms including mobility access & parents room, Emily our vintage caravan bar and our 6 luxury spa log cabins to stay in during the festivities. (Please contact us for our minors overnight policy).

Seclusions is a 2-2.5 hour drive from Sydney CBD, a 15-minute drive from the township of Lithgow via Lake Lyell and 30 mins from Katoomba to the east and Bathurst to the west. The venue is accessible by coach.

Words don’t come close to conveying how wonderful Seclusions, and managers Russ and Malynda are. We had our wedding here and not only do the views speak for themselves, the buildings are beautifully set-up and organised. We loved that everything was on site and we were very well looked after. Russ and Malynda are beautiful people who helped us on the day to ensure everything ran smoothly and we couldn’t have done it without them. We have had multiple guests reach out and say how wonderful the venue was, and how much they enjoyed themselves. Thanks guys for everything you did to make our day special and memorable. Can’t recommend this venue enough! The venue itself is stunning, with Scottish cows, views of the mountains and it was so helpful having on site accomodation in the cabins. We have had so so many guests compliment how incredible the venue was.
For the day of our wedding Russ, Malynda and McKenna handled all of the running of the day and truly took so much pressure off my husband and I. We had a perfect day even with the rain in which they assisted in finding the perfect moment to get out to the ceremony.
It was such an amazing experience start to finish, and both of us will keep recommending to other couples looking to get married and hoping that we get to attend another wedding here. I know we will keep staying at their cabins for a long time as-well as they are so lovely with beautiful views.

There aren’t enough words to describe how much we and out guests loved this venue and our entire wedding experience. Russ and Malynda have created the perfect wedding venue and now exactly how to make everything run seamlessly. Our run sheet was a little different and they accommodated all our ideas and gave suggestions and advice bout anything we were unsure of. Our guests still cant stop raving about the venue and all of the staff they interacted with. Its is the first venue we suggest to anyone we know wh is planning to get married.

On the 30/04/21 we were lucky enough to tie the knot at Seclusions and Wow! What a venue and what a team!
I’ve followed Seclusions on Instagram for a few years and always knew I wanted to get married here. And Zack and I are both so glad we did. The venue was absolutely breathtaking and everything was just so easy. The DIY design of Seclusions allowed us to choose the vendors we wanted and create a day that was uniquely ours.
Malynda and Russ were amazing with communication on the lead up to the day, providing us with everything we needed, from layout to vendors lists – everything was covered. We booked our venue during COVID and were unable to have a viewing before booking – Malynda and Russ sent us a number of videos showing us the venue and explaining everything to us – which I think just went above and beyond the expectations and we just knew, this was going to be a good fit.
Malynda and Russ were patient with me while I struggled with the idea of having a split reception (dance floor separate to the dining area) I was apprehensive about having our dance floor in the boat shed as I’d never been to a split reception before – but they are the experts for a reason and I’m glad I went with their suggestion!
It worked perfectly!!!! Having our dance floor separate to where we ate was fantastic. It broke the night up and made for a nice surprise for our guests, and created a totally different feel. It allowed people to sit outside of the dance floor and have a chat/sit around the fire – without feeling left out of the event.
Malynda was there with me every step of the way on the day (and the lead up to it).
On the day – as every bride does – I had a few moments where my nerves really started to settle in and test my calm, but having Malynda there checking in on me and the bridesmaids, keeping us updated and making sure everything was going to plan helped to reassure and settle me.
Honestly, Malynda is so warm and bubbly and just has one of those personalities that feels like home.
The next day Malynda shared moments with me that she had captured from our wedding day – which was such a beautiful surprise! It was like reliving the day all over again. Even capturing a moment between my husband and childhood best friend hugging at the end of the night in tears. Which is such a treasured and beautiful moment.
I can’t rave enough about Seclusions. Even our guests were equally as enamoured with the venue – most commenting they had never seen such a beautiful venue.
Malynda, Russ and their team are truly something else. I don’t think our day would have been as spectacular if we went with any other venue. It was a perfect day, a true testament to Russ Malynda and their team.

My wife Chloe and I got married at this beautiful venue/premium cabin location.
Russ and Malynda and all the staff were so amazing to work with, professional, empathetic and absolutely wonderful to have oversee our big day.
The cabins are beautiful, the location is remarkable – we are lost for words and can’t actually describe in writing how magical this place is to stay at and/or to have a wedding.

We both wanted to extend our gratitude to Seclusions, thank you so, so much, we will be back!

When our son was 5 months old we viewed Seclusions as a potential wedding venue. The minute we saw the Alpacas and a mob of kangaroos bounce by we knew we’d hit the jackpot! Fast forward to him almost turning two years old – I finally walked down that beautiful aisle! What I’ve loved most of all about this whole journey of marrying at this spectacular venue is the relationship built with the wonderful owners. I know of course they have couples every week to work with but it never has ever been to too much for them to help. You see this isn’t just a job for them, but a way of life. They really do love and live what they do. It’s a family business and Malynda and her husband Russ were absolutely incredible. Our wedding guests told us this was the most beautiful venue they had ever been to (and the best wedding). They are truly a credit to their business. Guys if you are reading this and just come across this venue – LOCK IN A VIEWING, you’ll thank me later. On our wedding day they were right by our sides from beginning to end. They laughed with us, cried with us and we really look forward to returning to stay at their beautiful cabins for our anniversary.

Russell and Malynda go above and beyond to ensure your day runs smoothly—they enjoyed a well deserved break over our weekend, so we were handled with the utmost care by Merryn, Laura and Lauren, who were absolute superstars as well. We made the best possible choice by having our wedding at Seclusions.

Where do we begin?! Malynda, Russell and the team WERE INCREDIBLE from start to finish. I was so organised that I didn’t think a thing would go wrong, but many did and they just took care of every little thing behind the scenes on the day so that my husband and I were none the wiser and were able to just enjoy our day. We had everything from an ambulance to an unexpected guest appear and they just dealt with it all smoothly and discreetly so that none of our guests or even us were any the wiser and nothing took the attention off us on our big day. I couldn’t speak more highly of them and their team, and we’re so pleased that they were there to oversee our whole day from start to finish. It was the most perfect day and we attribute so much of that solely to them. Malynda and Russell are hands down the best people to help you on your wedding day! We got married at Seclusions, Malynda and Russell went above and beyond to help us be calm on our day by coordinating it all. We stayed in the log cabins that night along with a few of our guests and I only heard good things. The log cabins are comfortable, homely and perfect for a little get a way! If we could get married again, it would definitely be at Seclusions! Thank you Malynda and Russ, you guys truely are the best!!
