Located on the picturesque Hunter River, Dalwood Estate is the longest running vineyard in Australia and is regarded as the birthplace of Hunter Valley wine.

Upon its inception in 1828, Dalwood Estate was created from cuttings from some of Australia’s most renowned vineyards provided by the country’s finest winemakers. This resulted in international award-winning wines during the early colonial years.

Today, Dalwood Estate along with its partner vineyards, Hungerford Hill and Sweetwater Estate, continues to raise the benchmark in Australian winemaking, placing passion, heritage, expertise and technique at the heart of all they do.

Dalwood Estate’s manicured gardens and pristine vineyards make for the perfect backdrop for your alfresco wedding ceremony and the estate’s century-old function room with its original cobblestoned structure and open beamed ceilings is the ideal canvas to host your reception.

CATERING

MEET Restaurant is the house caterer for Dalwood Estate. Since opening its restaurant in Honeysuckle in October 2016, the Newcastle-based restaurant received the honour of being named in Open Table’s inaugural Top 100 Restaurant of Australia in 2017 . Since then, MEET has transitioned into weddings and events with the MEET Food Truck.

While the MEET team specialise in banquet and share plate-style catering, they will provide flexible catering packages to suit all menu and dietary requirements.
