About This Venue
Craigie Knowe Vineyard is the oldest vineyard on the east coast of Tasmania. The vineyard was established in 1979, however, the property was settled in the 1820s with our lovely home built in the 1840s making a beautiful backdrop for treasured photos.
Our reception venue is located in our rustic cellar door and can seat up to 40 guests or 70 cocktail style. For larger weddings of up to 100 people, we are happy to have a marquee set up on the property. A number of ceremony sites are available, including amongst the vines, in the garden or alongside the rustic cellar door. This beautiful setting along with our friendly, welcoming approach is ideal for providing a relaxed wedding.
The east coast of Tasmania is picture perfect; beautiful beaches and stunning wilderness amongst gorgeous seaside towns. Cranbrook is centrally located along The Great Eastern Drive, one of Australia’s most iconic road trips, and only 45 minutes from the world renowned Freycinet National Park; the perfect location to add to a perfect celebration.
Alternatively, if you wish to run away and tie the knot together, with a simple, bespoke ceremony, and a dinner for two in an unforgettable location- please get in touch.

Owner / Manager
Craigie Knowe is family owned and operated. Glenn and I (Sandy) oversee all operations, along with our son Alex who largely looks after the vineyard, except on busy events, like weddings, when he too helps out. My Dad Alan, now retired, is also regularly on hand to make sure our guests feel welcome. We all love sharing our beautiful piece of paradise.
