There’s no denying that Ooralba Estate is one of the most luxurious NSW south coast wedding venues on the market. An exclusive 200-acre retreat, it comes with your own private chef, an in-ground pool, seven acres of perfectly maintained gardens, a fire pit and stunning interiors. Plus it’s pet-friendly so your furry family members can come along too.
Hey guys, can you tell us a bit about your Ooralba?
Our venue is an exclusive hire, private estate with seven acres of landscaped gardens with 360 degree views over the Morton National Park in Kangaroo Valley.
And what inspired you to get involved with weddings?
We wanted to share the beauty of the gardens and offer the magic of the property to our couples to share on their special day.
What kind of facilities does the property offer?
We offer the option to have just your event on the day or take accommodation and spend the weekend for a truly unique destination wedding. This is really the most luxurious getaway paired with the most important day of your life, where we take care of everything. Your stay comes with a private chef and staff to serve you breakfast and dinner, our onsite concierge will take care of all your guest needs and our events team will be there to make your dream wedding a reality.
What do you think is the selling point for most couples?
Definitely the location and our magnificent gardens. Also the added bonus of having your own dedicated team to help plan and coordinate every aspect of your wedding so you get to enjoy every minute of the day with no stress. It is very different from hiring a regular wedding venue – when you book with us Ooralba Estate becomes your home for the weekend.
What’s your favourite thing you’ve seen a couple do at your venue?
My favourite thing is seeing the couples the morning after the event while we prepare the brunch for the family and friends. Just the look of happiness and excitement from their wedding the day before. Nothing beats hearing and sharing all the wonderful moments with our couples.
It’s also really cool how each couple will come and re-imagine each part of our gardens to make it unique to them. A surprise around every corner… that’s the fun part of designing each special moment to be enjoyed by family and friends on the big day.
And what do you think would be epic at Ooralba? Any ideas you’d love to see a couple carry out?
I do love a glassed atrium marquee… maybe one day we will have a winter wedding with a beautiful ornate glass atrium for the couple to celebrate under the stars.
Describe the kind of couples your venue attracts?
Having your wedding at a private estate is very special and it also comes with a higher price tag than most venues. The couples we attract are usually most focused on making their family and friends have a weekend they will never forget. Our couples are looking for the ultimate destination wedding without having to fly internationally – we have it all at Ooralba so there is no need to fly to Europe!
Any new additions on the horizon?
More gardens, of course!
