About This Vendor

Hello! I’ve been a Commonwealth- certified Celebrant since 2011, and still love it as much today as I did in the beginning. I’m a pretty down to earth, quiet, ‘what-you-see-is-what-you-get’ person who likes listening to other people’s stories. I have a love of public speaking, so being a Celebrant and getting to talk about other people’s stories is a great fit. I’m (also!) a 46 year old mum of 2 boys, and I’ve been married to a pretty spectacular man for 14 years now! In my former career, I was an Intensive Care Ambulance Paramedic; so I have always been able to communicate well with people from all walks of life and create a sense of trust and empathy with them.

Byron Bay is a popular place to get married, and having most of my couples travelling from interstate or overseas, it is important for you to be reassured that the legal process will run smoothly and be guided by a person with plenty of experience (that’s me!). As far as your ceremony goes, I strongly believe that this is the most important part of your wedding day- not what you wear, not the venue, or how elaborate your bouquet is, or how many options of food you are serving your guests. The meaning that is created in the moment you pledge yourselves to each other publicly is what the essence of the day is all about, so you deserve to have the ceremony that aligns with your beliefs, values, and wishes, and one that reflects your unique relationship.  Every ceremony I write will be different, and uniquely you.
Much love, Heidi.
