Tell us a bit about your business.
We are a boutique wedding styling and hire company based in Tamworth NSW. We specialise in ‘creating amazing spaces’ that truly reflect who our clients are individually and as a couple. We love working with our couples to create amazing events that look and feel like their own – not just a wedding from Pinterest.
What is the main advantage for couples who work with you?
We are a one-stop-shop. We specialise in all things hire (furniture, marquees, lighting, decor) and can also generate the entire look and feel of their wedding day through comprehensive consultations and planning with the couple. Stationery, wedding planning and bar supply and service are also a part of our little business. People find it much easier to deal with one vendor for most things rather than having multiple vendors.
Can you share some of the things that go on behind the scenes?
A typical week for us is both in and out of the office meeting with clients and providing them with on-site inspections and completing quotations and styling concepts. The packing and unpacking of our fleet of vehicles is also a big time consumer – we usually have multiple events on each weekend so making sure we pack everything correctly so it arrives safely and on time to our clients is very important!
A few times a year, we try and tee up with our favourite vendors and plan styled shoots to try and push the boundary of what ‘styling’ can be within the wedding industry.
We love our job and wouldn’t have it any other way. Most weeks we collapse exhausted on the lounge with our hearts full as we have had the opportunity to be a part of some amazing weddings and events!
Do you think there are any preconceptions about the wedding industry?
When we sit down with clients, many have the belief that planning a wedding is incredibly stressful and time consuming. The truth is, it doesn’t have to be! We truly believe if you invest your money in the right places and with the right people, wedding planning can be fun and almost seem easy.
Employing the right people/vendors is important, and it is businesses like ours that can relieve much of the stress and anxiety surrounding logistics and aspects of a wedding because we do this with couples like you every weekend.
There isn’t much we haven’t seen or been challenged with and we always ensure we deliver to the best of our ability to ensure your day is perfect. Invest in your vendors wisely and the benefits will definitely outweigh the cost and relieve a lot of stress!
What are some of the main questions couples ask you? And what are the answers?
A lot of our enquiries from clients are based around our services and what we can do for them. As we have such a broad range of services, we find people tend to book us for hire and styling mostly but often the bar service and supply has been picked up as people want to ensure professionals are in charge of keeping their guests hydrated.
On-the-day coordination has also been popular with multiple people choosing to have a professional ensure their day runs to schedule. This is a must-have for property weddings where function coordinators don’t exist. Our clients love the fact that we can do everything for them in terms of setup and logistics and are on-site throughout the entire wedding day.
Another question we often are asked is who we would recommend for certain aspects of their wedding day. People want to ensure they are receiving great value for their money and they are employing wedding professionals. Our high standards are reflected in our own work and who we recommend within the industry.
Can you describe what sets your business apart?
Being a small business, personal contact and attention to our clientele is a big one. When clients meet with us for the first time to discuss styling, the person who meets with them is generally the one who is their contact person and is the one who will be there on their wedding day to ensure their dream becomes a reality.
We strive on making connections with people and have formed some great friendships with some of our past clients. We become as invested in their wedding day as they do and have often been known to shed a tear when we see the look on their faces when they see what we have produced.
What’s your next predicted wedding trend?
Minimalist weddings. We are loving simplistic colour palettes, with clean modern lines and touches of metallic. Sophisticated floral installs and lighting features are becoming really popular and jewel tones are also making a big comeback (we are hoping for more emerald green!).
