REAL WEDDING: Tea + Kosta – St Josephs Guesthouse
Tea and Kosta tied the knot on the sandstone path in front of St Josephs Guesthouse – an incredible ex-Catholic Church (the first one built on mainland Australia, as a matter of fact). Things we love: the venue (of course), the dress, the photos by Wild at Heart Photography and Tea’s reaction to watching a video from friends who couldn’t make the day. Adorable.

St Josephs Guesthouse is the oldest Catholic church on mainland Australia. Now privately owned, it’s been transformed into a historic holiday stay. And you can get married there.

Tea and Kosta did just that, with the lovely Lina of Wild at Heart Photography there to capture the day. There’s a lot that caught our eye when we first saw this wedding – Tea’s dress that she picked up in Spain, the outdoor dance floor, the sunlit couple shots taken among some really tall trees… take a look.

We asked Tea a few questions about the big day.

How did you guys meet and how’d the proposal happen?

We met at a wedding and he proposed on the 4th of February 2015 first thing when we woke up in the morning.

Did you get stuck into any DIY for the day?

I baked the cake myself and we did the bomboniere together.

Did you incorporate any traditions into the day?

A Russian tradition of breaking a glass and kissing for the longest possible after the ceremony.

What advice would you give other couples in the lead-up to their wedding?

To enjoy every single moment during the planification and not to stress out.

What does marriage mean to you both?

A forever loving and caring promise.

Any funny moments from the day you can share?

My train broke 20 mins before the ceremony and one of the guests saw it within five minutes.

Ceremony song?

Coldplay – Til Kingdom Come

First dance?

Prince Royce – Stand by me (bachata)
