Clear skies, a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Vaucluse House and a reception at WedShed venue, Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel made for one helluva party. Plus, check out the dress – we have serious wedding envy.

See more of their day below, captured by Ripple Weddings.

In a nutshell, how would you describe your wedding day?

Loads of fun, really relaxed and full of love.

What did you expect was going to be your favourite part in the lead-up? What did it end up being?

We expected once the formalities were out of the way and everyone had had a few drinks that would be our favourite part. It ended up being the ceremony itself, it was very funny but really genuine and very much represented us.

What was it about your wedding venue that made you choose it?

We had been to a wedding there previously for Tom’s sister. It was by far the best wedding we had been to at that stage so much so it changed our mind on eloping and we decided to have our wedding there.

Now that you’re married, what’s your best piece of wedding planning advice you can share?

Don’t stress the details, we had to compromise on some things due to having a short engagement. On the day we never noticed any of those little details!

If you had your time again, is there anything you’d do differently?

Honestly no!

Finish these sentences: My partner is…

Tom: Fun, hard-working, smart and funny.

Megan: Easy-going, handsome and funny.

The best thing we did at our wedding was…

The 30 mins between the ceremony and reception where we just sat together in our room and took it all in before the reception started.

We splurged on…

The dress!

We saved on…

Videographer (we didnt have one) & we did DIY styling.
