Swallowfield Vineyards in Gembrook is a family owned boutique vineyard & estate situated in the picturesque Yarra Valley, located just over one hour drive from Melbourne CBD and is the perfect backdrop for your wedding day or special event.

In 1985 the Abela family (current owners) purchased Swallowfield from John Russell for their family home. Swallowfield was originally owned by Evelyn Aylmer Cecil “Bill” Russell, a prominent saw miller in Gembrook. The Russell family had owned the property from 1907 to 1985.

The first vineyard was planted in 1990. Since then, the vines have matured and produce every year beautiful grapes for top end labels and award winning wines. Over the years this has included Domain Chandon (Premium Sparkling) and Rochford Wines (Terre Chardonnay, ‘Dans les Bois’ Chardonnay and ‘Dans
