So often, we wonder what we would do without the Internet. And we bet Kylie and Michael feel this way too. These two met online and a few years later, decided to tie the knot at the rustic Blue Mountains venue Collits Inn.

It was a relaxed affair that celebrated, above all else, their family. They involved Kylie’s two children in every aspect of the ceremony and we’re very glad Bless Photography was there to capture those moments.

Tell us about how you met?

We met on the eHarmony dating sight and within a few months both knew we had found something special. Michael was my first date from the sight. My daughter was two at the time and I wasn’t willing to jump in too quickly.

What DIY projects did you do tackle for the wedding?

Michael’s parents decorated the arbour with bunches of natives and gum leaves from the trees on the property. Michael’s sister set up a gorgeous photo display. My mum and her friend in Mudgee made some delicious marmalade and blackberry jam from local produce for the bombonniere.

What traditions did you involve during your big day?

We had a hand fastening with our two gorgeous children to symbolise the coming together of our families and highlighting the importance of our children in our lives. We picked a ribbon that symbolised each of us, then one from each of our families and a white ribbon from the celebrant.

What does marriage mean to you?

Marriage is a celebration of two, it’s a partnership and a desire to share every part of life. A relationship built on friendship, trust, and most importantly open communication. Loving and trusting a person wholly. Michael has an amazing tenderness and quirkiness about him that puts you at ease.
